MILLBRIDGE COURT WEDDING | SURREY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Rachel and George Boho Autumn Wedding at Millbridge Court Wedding Venue, Surrey

This was my first time as a Millbridge Court wedding photographer. Rachel & George booked me a full 2 years in advance (a great referral) so I had plenty of time to look forward to capturing their wedding here. The vision Rachel had for their wedding was English country, classic, modern and boho. I think it was all of that and more. Add fun, fabulous and a little bit bonkers!

Nestled at the heart of the Surrey and Hampshire borders, Millbridge Court has to come near the top of the list of Surrey wedding venues. A restored 19th-century house, it mixes the old with the new. The spaces are fresh and modern with huge windows that allow natural light to flood into the two large reception rooms. I wonder if a photographer had input into the design because it couldn’t be any better. The venue, adorned with the warm hues of autumn, provided a captivating backdrop for Rachel & George’s celebration. Embracing a boho-inspired theme, the couple's choice of decor seamlessly blended with the natural beauty of the season. From earthy tones to rustic details, every element complemented the autumn ambience, creating a wedding day that was both stylish and timeless.

Rachel and her bridesmaids got ready in The Loft, a huge space with six make-up stations, a seating area and a private changing area. So much room, so many mirrors! You won’t be suffering from claustrophobia here. It also has a one-way window which allows the Bridal Party to take a sneak peak of the ceremony hall guests take their seats. Very cool!

As a Surrey wedding photographer, capturing the unique moments at Millbridge Court was a delightful experience. Recently, I had the

pleasure of documenting the love story of Rachel and George in this picturesque setting.

Rachel and George wanted a candid approach to photography rather than time-consuming group photos. It was a day for their guests to have a party. This allowed for genuine moments to unfold naturally, capturing the authenticity of their love and the joy shared with friends and family. From heartfelt exchanges during the ceremony to laughter-filled candid shots on the venue's grounds, every image tells the story of a day filled with love and warmth.

Candid Millbridge Court Wedding Photography

A special mention goes to Leigh Gill the brilliant best man. Every time I took his photo he was hilarious. I said, “it’s like you are an actor or something”. Well, it wasn’t ‘a something’, he IS an actor and was even in one of my favourite films of the last five years, Joker. Plus Game Of Thrones which I still haven’t seen. Yes, I know, “You haven’t seen Game Of Thrones!!”. Leigh delivered a brilliant speech involving waiting on George to put up some shelves, and then recruited Laura Whitmore, Joey Essex, Keith Lemon, and Will Meller, via a pre-recorded film, to take part in a running gag. Leigh brought a touch of cinematic charisma to the celebration. His heartfelt and entertaining words added an extra layer of joy to an already remarkable day.

Perfect For Candid Photography

As a Surrey wedding photographer passionate about candid moments, Millbridge Court provides the ideal setting for couples like Rachel and Gary to express their love authentically. The candid shots taken throughout the day truly encapsulate the essence of their wedding celebration.

In harmonious counterpoint to its contemporary interior, the hotel's expansive grounds feature a charming arbour, an idyllic setting tailor-made for summer weddings and couples desiring to pledge their vows amidst the natural splendor. A picturesque stone pathway guides the way to a romantically crafted wooden frame, becoming a sought-after locale for exchanging matrimonial promises. Enhanced by the presence of a meandering river, a wildflower meadow, and panoramic views of the open countryside, this enchanting backdrop provides unparalleled opportunities to capture captivating photographs, enveloping the scene with a timeless ambiance reminiscent of an authentic 'English Country Garden.’

Nestled within its premises, Millbridge Court seamlessly integrates a Dining Barn capable of hosting 150 guests for a sumptuous wedding breakfast. The venue also boasts a Ceremony Hall and a lively bar, serving as the stage for evening festivities accommodating up to 200 attendees. Expert catering teams, along with a dedicated wedding manager, stand ready to craft bespoke wedding menus and oversee the seamless execution of all preparations.
