Hello and welcome,

If you've found your way to this corner of the internet, chances are, you're planning one of the most beautiful days of your life – your wedding. A day that promises to be an emotional rollercoaster of laughter, the unpredictable and the occasional tear.

Live every moment of it, and let me capture the love in the room with heartfelt storytelling photography. The energy, love and raw emotion your day entails. Your photos will transport you back in time to your amazing day. Photos showing what it’s like to be in love and be surrounded by the people you love.

No awkward posing. All you need to do is be your fabulous self and enjoy the best day of your life.

Affordable, award-winning documentary wedding photography

Your wedding day will be the most planned and photographed of your life. Book me as your photographer and your wedding will be shot as unobtrusively as possible. I won’t be setting up cheesy shots when you should be drinking tequila shots, which means you will be able to spend as much time as possible with your guests. With so much emotion in the air, you won’t even notice a wedding photographer being around.

Steve is amazing!

★★★★★

“We booked Steve as our wedding photographer and couldn't have been happier with our choice. Leading up to the wedding his communication was great and he really understood what we were looking for in a photographer. On the day he was discreet while managing to get all the important shots, as well as lots of candid shots too, which is what we really wanted. Some of our favourite photos are private moments where we didn't even realise he was there! He worked so hard to capture everything perfectly and even sent us some snaps the very next day! Steve also sent us the full collection of our photos in an unbelievable time frame and we are so incredibly happy with them. On top of being amazing at what he does, he also has a great personality and sense of humour which was much appreciated and made us feel so comfortable and relaxed from the start. Thank you, Steve :)”

Hi I’m Steve, but all my friends call me Baggy…

I've been behind the lens for over two decades, photographing everything from Presidents and Popes to Love Islanders’ as well as the intimacy of wedding vows being exchanged.

While I don't take myself too seriously, I take my role as your wedding photographer very seriously indeed. There's nothing that would mortify me more than knowing a couple wasn't thrilled with their wedding photos. Only photographing one wedding per week ensures I don’t turn up burnt out after shooting 3 weddings in 4 days. Your special day gets the undivided attention it deserves.

By keeping my schedule manageable, I can approach your wedding with fresh eyes and enthusiasm. We'll have the opportunity to scout your venue ahead of time, identifying the perfect locations for those all-important group shots. And when it comes to delivering your images, you won't be left waiting for weeks on end. In just 10 days after you say "I do” your photos will be uploaded to your online gallery, ready to be cherished for a lifetime.

Efficiency doesn't mean compromising on quality. Every image is individually edited – nothing is outsourced to strangers, and you'll never receive an impersonal automated email from me. Plus, to ensure that I'm always ready to capture your day without any travel hiccups, I often stay near your venue the night before.

Your wedding day is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and it's my privilege to be a part of it. So, if you're seeking a photographer who blends professionalism with a personal touch, look no further.

He was such a professional during the day

★★★★★

“Steve took the photos for our wedding in July 2022 and was just brilliant. We're absolutely delighted with the thoughtful, vibrant, documentary-style photos he took: he captured every key moment of the day and caught so many little moments of joy and humour. The photos are just the perfect way to remember a perfect day, and we'll treasure them forever. He was also such a professional during the day. We were never actually aware of him there with the camera during the ceremony or any of the quieter or more emotional moments (e.g. speeches or first dance) though he got amazing pictures of them all. He was also so friendly and kind to our guests, even getting a chair for my mother-in-law when she looked as if she might value a sit-down! He went the extra mile in every way, including visiting the venue with us the week before the wedding to think about key shots in advance. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone!”

FAQs

  • Yes, I often travel to cover events and have worked on assignments all over the world. A trip up the M1 holds no fears despite being a southerner. A full day package includes all mileage within England, so no extra cost to you.

  • Afraid not. I don’t believe shooting stills and video at the same time on one camera will give you the best results. You could end up with mediocre stills plus mediocre video. Keeping them separate is the best bet, I am happy to recommend some excellent videographers.

  • No, I also photograph other types of events and have been an accredited photographer at Heathrow Airport for over 25 years photographing celebrities, royalty and politicians. I currently shoot 20 weddings a year but with more celebs increasing their carbon footprint by flying private jet I may take on more to stay afloat!

  • It can be good idea having a second photographer if there will be more than 125 guests. Also, if you both want getting ready shots or if your venue is so large and spread out that I physically can’t cover all the grounds alone, a good example would be Farnham Castle.

  • Yes. The only pictures I do not deliver are the ones where someone is blinking or the photo is somehow unflattering and making an awkward face. I normally deliver 700 photos per wedding, but if the dance floor is packed it can be 1,000. If it’s a good shot, it will be in your gallery.

  • Yes. If I have worked at your venue before get in touch and I will send you a link. If not, I can send you a full gallery and you can see what a full day of wedding photography looks like.

  • Yes, they are important even more so as the years go by. I don’t show them on my website but I have shot as many as 37 at a wedding before. Be aware that it can be a bit of a ‘Buzz Killington’ on the day. The key is to keep them moving by allocating a groomsmen to round guests up. Before your wedding I will send you a questionnaire where you can list your important groups.

  • A meal is always welcome as it’s one of the ways I judge the quality of a venue for my Google review! I won’t throw a tantrum if no meal is provided, I am happy to buy a sandwich from the bar, as I often still work during the meal. Just keep me in the loop about when the last course is served so I don’t miss the start of speeches. I am often up and down like a paranoid Jack in the Box, checking!

  • Yes, in the UK it even rains in July. It’s unlikely to pour down all day, in which case we can choose a 10 minute window when it stops. Otherwise I have a bag full of flashes for indoor group shots, and scouted the best locations on our pre-wedding venue visit.

  • I would have to be very ill to miss your wedding, but nobody is immune from illness. I have a strong network of first class photographers who I can contact to step in at the last minute. I will then pay them to shoot your wedding in my place.

  • I often get enquiries for the same date, so whoever puts down a 20% deposit first gets the date.

  • You’ll get a sneak preview a few days after the wedding. Your individually edited images will uploaded to your gallery 10 days after you say “I do”

Most photographers will deliver in 4-6 weeks, but I only take on a limited number of weddings. That way, I can devote more time to the couples who put their trust in me, and ensure I don’t get bogged down in a swamp of editing.
